| | | Auto Insurance Without NCD! | |
I recently had a crash driving a vehicle on which i was a named driver on its insurance policy, which means im not the regular driver, the car had a comprehensive policy so all was fine, until i was told by my friend that i would not presume to be driving legally because the current insurer haven't received my No claim Bonus Notification from last insurer, funny enough, the third party was already claiming on my insurance for damage to her car is this a problem?., do i stand any chance of claiming 50-50 premium claim to the third party? or do you just get point on your licence and still pay for the damages if its true i was at fault, there was no witness to the accident, apparently there was one, but she took off when the police arrived the scene. people of sound knowledge about insurance claims pls advice.
| | What's the best auto insurance | | By best, I mean CHEAPEST, hence why I posted this in "make extra money":p
I am a newer driver, being 18 years old with an older car. The cheapest quote I could find was Nationwide, with $114.92 a month... which isn't too bad.
Progressive was ridiculous, at $258.56, and then esurance was $192.61.
Anyone know of places that are even cheaper? And of course I had to include a picture of my car:p
| | Question! Need advice on Auto Insurance? | | My auto insurance is coming up for renewal soon! My question: Is there a site on the net for research that you do not have to give you phone number to compare insurance prices? Years ago, I found one that you only had to key in info. about your auto and were given an instant price quote. It was not sent to referral agents to compete with on calls, Email, etc. I do not want calls in the night again, nor my mail box loaded with request, they were too persistent! What is your advice on subject please? | |
| | | Auto Insurance | | In my state, auto insurance is not required. I know it is important to have and learned years ago, the dire financial consequences of driving without it. I have somehow, over the years, regardless of how financially strapped I am, managed to keep myself covered for at least any liability I may cause to someone else. That is until 3 months ago. With the economy the way it is, I unfortunately had no choice but to let it lapse. I simply did NOT have the money. I have been very nervous driving and was lucky enough not to have caused any accidents. Finally I got my income tax and ran down today to get myself insured again. I was paying $117.00 every 6 months and stupidly expected to pay somewhere close to that same amount. Not so. Because I had lapsed more than 45 days, my insurance jumped to 363.00 for the exact same coverage which is only liability. So I go in trying to do the right thing which I hadn't been doing simply for lack of money and I get charged a ton more!!I have a perfect driving record. What kind of sense does this make? Luckily, I had the money but I'm not so sure that I will in 6 months. Insurance companys are literally raping our wallets and making it so difficult for... | |
| | Anyone in the auto insurance business? | | My friend was rear ended last week by a man named Bob. My friend called Bobs insurance company and they said Bob has not called in claim yet and they cant reach Bob. My friend even has a police report. Is there some law that gives a time limit on when insurance companies have to pay the claim? They are giving my friend the runaround. | |
| | Auto Insurance That Covers Pets | | I think it's a great idea that one of the leading insurers has come up with-insuring your pets when they are traveling in your car. I don't have any statistics on the subject, but I would imagine that pets are sometimes injured along with humans in auto accidents. From everything that I've heard, it costs a pretty penny to get vet services these days. What do you think of this idea? I know that many of you do have pets, and take them along for the occasional ride. | |
| | Auto Insurance Industry Encourages Drunk Driving... | | As if anyone needed another example of how scummy the auto insurance industry is, my own agent gave me one.Ok, you are at a party, and your friend gets loaded. You are sober, so you take the keys from your friend and drive him home.On the way home you get in a car accident.Guess what. Industry "standard" says that you are on your own. You aren't covered.Yes, you are usually covered when you drive a friend's car with their permission, but the bottom feeding "lawyers" for the car insurance industry have successfully argued that a drunk person can't give consent. So there you have it folks, the insurance industry would rather have you drive drunk than let a sober friend take the keys and drive you home. | |
