| how is Compaq presario? | | I want to buy a laptop. My budget is very tight and I can't afford an expensive laptop. So after some research about the prices I zeroed my search to Compaq Presario range which I found good. But as I don't have much knowledge about the computers. | Compaq Presario CQ50 Performance | | I owned this laptop for several months (about 6 months). The problem that i always face with this laptop is the heat problem. Besides, the graphic is just nice for me. It is because im not the hardcore gamers. To run a light game will be no problem at all and i enjoy with the 15.4" screen. Really enjoy to watching the movie while im in the go. Can anyone who owned this model share with me how to improve and how does your laptop performance. | Problem with Compaq Presario | | It will not boot up. It gets power fine, but the battery would not recharge and it does not work without it. I did the power/static discharge and it worked for a minute. I had the Geek Squad reset the RAM chips, on Compaq's suggestion. Anyone out there have an idea? I will probably have to send it in for repair, as it is under warranty. | |

| HP Compaq Presario | | Has anyone else had problems with this computer? Granted, mine is now 3 years old......I have had problems with it since it was about 3 months old. I have all updated software, needed a new dvdr drive at 2 years old, and now my USB's do not want to work. I have researched this problem, and it is not uncommon in this model for the USB's to stop working all together. I now have the problem that when I plug in my son's mp3, it recognizes it as a disc.........what the heck is up with that? Any advice? Anyone with the same problems? | I have a three and a have year old compaq presario laptop | | I have a three and a have year old compaq presario laptop. I have triedto use an western digital 120 gb external hard drive for a back-up but Ikeep getting a message that says "file missing, unable to supporthardware." I ran a disk check on the laptop to correct any error thatmight have existed. It still didn't work. I bought a seagate modelexternal drive and received the same error message. I brought the unitinto to "Best Buy'" They suggested that maybe I needed "Service Pack 2"for the Windows XP but product information on the internet said thatthese particular external hardrives are also supported by my laptop'sService Pack 1. I am at a lost. Best buy's computer Geek squad does notknow what the problem is. The computer runs perfectly for all otherapplications. Do you have any ideas as to what the problem is. I reallyneed a small external hardrive to back up 25,000 pictures. Please help.Thank | |
