Suddenly she picks up a little ball of tissue and starts to unravel it, telling me she has to show me something. As she gets it unwound, low and behold, it’s her tooth. Not just any tooth but her very last tooth. I just started laughing. There is no doubt I am her daughter, I have a few of my own teeth rolling around my Desk Drawer too wrapped in tissue. Everytime I have one pulled the dentist asks me if I want it and I always do b/c it’s a little part of me. So now I know where I get it from…my Mom does it too.Do you save your teeth after you lose them or have them pulled? Where do you put them if you save them? Did you keep your own or your children’s teeth?**AT PEACE WITHIN**~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

| | Do your cat (or dog/ferret/animal) sit on your lap as you type?:o) | | How many of you have the luxury of your dear cat (or dog/ferret/animal) sitting on your lap as you type. Yup, she's on my lap right now. Yay! But doesn't stay for a long time at all. Doesn't happen every day, but it always makes me all warm and contented. Of course, I have a sticky roller right in the room to pick up and get the hair off before I step out.;o) Also, in my desk drawer (on which my computer is right now), to my right side this year, I decided to keep the fur comb. I try to comb her (and she loves it). Otherwise, I will be blinking away fur all over my face, chest, and my keyboard is even "coughing" on it. My cat especially likes it when I turn the mini heater on. She just loves warmth even when it is warm. So how many of you have the honor of your beloved pet sitting on your lap? My kitty actually only started doing that about a year ago. (She's 6 years old now.) | |
| | Chapstick | | In my opinion, you can never have too many Chapsticks . . can you?
I can't . .for I am always in need of a good swipe of this delicious product . .no matter where I am or where I go . I need my chapstick.. and it seems that I am always misplacing one here and there.... so to prevent that awful moment of feeling any dryness upon my lips . . . I keep one in my car, in my desk drawer, in my makeup bag, in my pocketbook . . You name a place and I will have one there!
How about you . .
What is your favorite flavor? Mine is cherry[em]thumbup[/em]And what it is you like best about the one and onlyChapsick
| | Do you ever have trouble keeping up with your things? | | I sure do! It seems like the older I'm getting the worse I'm getting. I will put something down and then the next minute forget where it was I put it. This is so frustrating, isn't it? The main things I have trouble keeping up with are my car keys, my cell phone, and my glasses. I have a special place where I hang my car keys when I get home. However, sometimes I will lay them down somewhere and forget where I put them. This is especially aggravating before I start to go somewhere. I've learned to call my cell phone to see where I put it. As far as my glasses, I don't have any way of calling them to see where I put them, LOL[em]lol[/em]. The only thing I know to do when I put my glasses down is to make a mental note of where I put them. I used to have a time keeping up with my check book. I lost a check book one time and had to change my account number, etc. I also had to call the social security to tell them I had a new account number, as I get my SSI check through direct deposit. I keep my check book in my desk drawer now so I'll know where it is everytime. | |
| | Angry????? | | Anger ManagementWhen you occasionally have a really bad day, and you just need to take it out on someone, don't take it out on someone you know, take it out on someone you don't know.I was sitting at my desk when I remembered a phone call I'd forgotten to make. I found the number and dialled it. A man answered, saying "Hello."
I Politely said, "This is David. Could I please speak with Robert Campbell?"
Suddenly a manic voice yelled out in my ear:
"Get the right F#*@~king number!" and the phone was slammed down on me.
I couldn't believe that anyone could be so rude. When I tracked down Robert's correct number to call him, I found that I had accidentally transposed the last two digits.
After hanging up with Robert, I decided to call the 'wrong' number again. When the same guy answered the phone, I yelled:"You're a B#*@~ard" and hung up.
I wrote his number down with the word 'B#*@~ard next to it, and put it in my desk drawer. Every couple of weeks, when I was paying bills or had a really bad day, I'd call him up and yell,
"You're a B#*@~ard!"
It always cheered me up.
When Caller ID was introduced, I thought my therapeutic
"B#*@~ard" calling would have...
| | Do you still use a wall calendar? | | I have one on my bulletin board in front of me. Today I flipped it to the current month after not noticing that it was still back in March....I hardly use it. I have two daily planners in my desk drawer that I use to record my future plans. There is always some place on tv or the computer that gives you the date and time. I recieved about four calendars this year but have only one up.....so do you still use a calendar on your wall? | |
| | Is your desk in clutters or clean? | | A clean desk is a sign of a cluttered desk drawer. What about you guys? Do you keep your desk clean and organised or you are comfortable when its in clutters or you have a clean desk but a cluttered desk drawer?[em]wink[/em][em]lol[/em] | |
| | I got two bonuses this week just cleaning! LOL | | First I was straightening out my bedroom closet and found a package of toilet paper that I had forgotten I had bought! Then I was cleaning out my desk drawer and found some clear envelopes I thought I was out of....they are 8x10 clear one I use for my craft sales to put my matted poems in...I was going to order more but the shipping was so expensive I decided to wait and see if I could get them at an office supply. Now I don't have to! LOL....have you gotten a bonus when you have cleaned? Something you had forgotten about? | |
| | kids and chores | | I always seem to have problems to get my kids motivated for getting their household chores done. My kids are like most they know they have to do it but they want to throw a fit because they have to do it.Well while cleaning out my desk drawer I found some old checks for an account that was closed. And I got this idea. I assign them a chore. When it is completed to my liking they will get a check for something they want. My kids is mostly computer time. I asked them if they would like to do this this way as one I never have spare cash to do an allowance and two it is for something they like.We tried this and so far it is working well. The two younger ones got their chores done in a heart beat and they did it the right way! Why didn't I think of this before! LOL | |
| | What book are you currently reading? (Blurbs only- no spoilers)- | | Reading is healthy for the brain- it keeps our imagination going- So what are you reading right now? Just state the blurb- please do not put spoilers in for people whom also may be reading the book;DAt the moment i'm reading a REAL LIFE- book called:If i am missing or dead;In april 2002, Janine Latus's youngest sister, Amy, wrote a note and taped it to the inside of her desk drawer."If i am gone or dead," It read, "Question Ron."Since childhood Janine and Amy had been sexualized and belittled. As adults the sisters sought familiarity, ending up in a series of abusive relationships. Finally, Janine confessed the truth to Amy, and with her support, escaped in time. But Amy was keeping a terrible secret of her own and by the time the letter was found ten weeks later, she was already missing ...It's quite a moving book- though i havent quite finished it yet. I'd recommend it so far though-What are you reading? And what's the blurb say? | |
